Job Title: Open Rank- Sr. Instructor, Assistant, Associate, Professor – MSK Radiologist

Job Summary: The Department of Radiology at University of Colorado Denver is seeking applicants for a full-time radiologist and faculty member in the Musculoskeletal Radiology Section. We are interested in candidates at any stage of their career from the Sr. Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels. The Department of Radiology offers two career pathways: Community Practice Pathway and Academic Pathway.

Job Information

Subspecialty interpretation of MSK, MRI, CT, ultrasound, and radiographs.

Spine imaging interpretation is shared between the neuroradiology and MSK sections. Cases read from Orthopedic Surgery, PM&R and Sports Medicine. Weekend call duties are shared by all local section members and consist of MSK specialty-specific coverage.

Experience in standard interventional MSK procedures such as CT-guided and ultrasound-guided biopsy, spine injection, and joint injection/aspiration is necessary. Some attendings perform advanced interventions (e.g., kyphoplasty and tumor ablation); opportunities are available, though these skills are not required.

The section employs two physician assistants and supports two MSK fellows; teaches over 40 residents (many pursue MSK fellowship).

Clinical and research collaborations with nationally recognized practices in orthopedic and non-operative sports medicine; imaging services for Denver-area professional and collegiate teams.

Active limb restoration, spine surgery, rheumatology, oncology, pain management and PM&R provide clinical and research opportunities for faculty.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in all aspects of our clinical practice across multiple sites as a member of the Department of Radiology.

Engage in interdisciplinary conferences and participate in fellow and resident education.

Serve as a primary radiologist at the hospital with regular interaction with referring providers in a collaborative setting.

Work Location Onsite location in Aurora, CO. Hybrid options are available with the ability to read from home when schedule permits. Remote work is eligible in the United States.

This is an open rank position that could be categorized as Sr. Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor based on experience and qualifications. The rank progression depends on entry rank and Promotion & Tenure input.

Sr. Instructor

Minimum Qualifications: MD/DO or equivalent, Colorado medical license by time of hire, ABR certified or eligible.

Preferred Qualifications: Subspecialty fellowship training; experience collaborating with multiple clinical specialties.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Interpretation of radiology imaging studies and procedures; competency in basic radiology procedures.

Assistant Professor

Minimum Qualifications: MD/DO or equivalent, Colorado medical license by time of hire, ABR certified or eligible.

Preferred Qualifications: Subspecialty fellowship training; experience collaborating with multiple clinical specialties.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Interpretation of radiology imaging studies and procedures; competency in basic radiology procedures.

Associate Professor

Minimum Qualifications: MD/DO or equivalent, Colorado medical license by time of hire, ABR certified or eligible.

Preferred Qualifications: Subspecialty fellowship training; experience collaborating with multiple clinical specialties.

Professor

Minimum Qualifications: MD/DO or equivalent, Colorado medical license by time of hire, ABR certified or eligible.
