Overview

Our EHS Engineer plays a key role in supporting our Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) team by providing expertise in environmental compliance and project management. This position focuses heavily on regulatory compliance related to air, stormwater, and waste, while also driving sustainability, energy reduction initiatives, and workplace safety improvements. The EHS Engineer will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure program compliance, execute project initiatives, and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with environmental guidelines and regulations. Support sustainability and energy reduction initiatives. Utilize safety management system (SMS) and various methods of documentation for compliance with systems, regulations, and standards. Reduce workplace injuries through proactive risk control and safety awareness. Deliver training and implement programs related to EHS initiatives. Participate in project planning and implementation. Support contractor safety programs and ensure adherence to safety standards. Conduct audits, inspections, and accident investigations. Collaborate with department managers, supervisors, safety committees, and employees on environmental and safety-related matters. Requirements

A bachelor's degree in environmental, safety, or engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of environmental regulations (e.g., air permits, stormwater) and safety standards. Adapt to varied environments and activity levels, including office, manufacturing and outdoors. Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Manage evolving priorities and change effectively. Strong research and project completion capabilities. Build relationships and tailor communication across multiple functions and levels of organizational stakeholders.
