We're seeking motivated and knowledgeable Assistant Coaches to support our

Boys Flag Football program . This part-time, seasonal role spans from summer assessments through the fall season (August–November). As an Assistant Coach, you'll play an essential role in player development, cultivating a positive team culture, and ensuring smooth daily program operations under the guidance of our Program Director and Varsity Head Coach. We're seeking candidates with a strong understanding of the game, a commitment to educational athletics, and a passion for supporting student-athletes in their growth both on and off the field. What You'll Do

Practice Leadership:

Help plan and execute engaging practices that align with program goals and team culture. Skill Development:

Teach and reinforce fundamental flag football skills, strategies, and rules. Culture Building:

Support the development of a positive, inclusive, and competitive team environment. Student Supervision:

Supervise and maintain appropriate student behavior during all practices, games, and team functions. Game Day Support:

Provide vital leadership and sideline support during games and tournaments. Program Alignment:

Work closely with the Varsity Head Coach to ensure consistency and alignment across Varsity and JV levels. Effective Communication:

Proactively communicate with student-athletes, families, and staff. Safety & Organization:

Help maintain a safe and organized practice and game-day environment. Compliance:

Ensure adherence to UHS, BAC, NCS, and CIF rules and regulations. Administrative Support:

Assist in tracking attendance, performance, and equipment needs. Team Commitment:

Attend all scheduled practices, games, meetings, and events as required. Requirements Who You Are

Experienced Coach:

You bring a minimum of

2 years of coaching experience , preferably in football, flag football, or another team sport. Game Expert:

You possess strong knowledge of flag football fundamentals, rules, and game strategies. Playing experience in flag or tackle football is a plus. Effective Communicator:

You have strong communication and leadership skills. Certified (or Ready To Be):

You hold, or are willing to obtain,

CPR and First Aid certification , as well as any required CIF/NCS coaching certifications. Compensation

This is a seasonal, part-time position with a pay range of

$5,000 – $8,000 , commensurate with experience and team assignment. This compensation includes responsibilities during the summer assessment period and the fall competitive season. Ready to Inspire Our Athletes?
