General Description/Primary Purpose:
The School of Computing is seeking a 9 month, tenure-earning, Assistant Professor. This position will report to Dr. Nan Niu, Professor, Director of School of Computing. Position responsibilities include teaching two courses per semester in fall and spring, research, and service. About The Department
The School of Computing offers undergraduate academic programs in computer science, data science, information systems, information technology, information science, and financial technology (fintech), a Master’s program in Computing and Information Sciences with concentrations in computer science, data science, cybersecurity, and information systems, and a PhD program with concentrations in cybersecurity and intelligent systems. Responsibilities and Qualifications
Anticipated Start Date: The position is expected to begin on August 3, 2026. Working Hours: Varies Supervision Exercised: This is not a supervisory role. Required Qualifications: The successful candidates must have an earned Ph.D. degree (or will earn a Ph.D. degree by the hire date) in the field of Computing from an accredited institution. They must also demonstrate the potential for excellence in teaching and in research. Preferred Qualifications / Skills: Candidates with research interests in Digital Innovation and Gaming, Game Development, Game Experience Design, Computer Graphics and Visualization, Multimedia Computing (including 3D Animation), Immersive Design, and AR/VR/MR preferred.
