Overview
The Division of Anatomic Pathology at the University of Utah, University Health Care School of Medicine seeks three board certified/eligible full-time anatomic pathologists. Fellowship training or an interest in women’s health pathology (gynecologic and breast surgical pathology) and/or genitourinary surgical pathology, as well as board certification in cytopathology are desirable subspecialties. Other subspecialties may be considered, if the applicant’s range of expertise aligns with our needs. Candidates at the level of Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor are encouraged to apply. The appropriate individual will participate in the teaching, clinical service, and research efforts of the academic department.
Responsibilities and opportunities The Division of Anatomic Pathology accesses more than 35,000 surgical specimens per year amongst a group of approximately 35 subspecialized pathologists. Pathologists serve as medical directors for ARUP Laboratories, a national reference laboratory owned and operated by the University of Utah Department of Pathology. Ample opportunities are available for research collaboration with individuals at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center and the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
