Minimum Qualifications/Required Skills
Current and Valid Illinois Psychologist Endorsement. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Able to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
Responsibilities/Duties
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provide support services to elementary school students. Coordinate or serve as a member of a diagnostic team and educational planning and placement committee. Provide psychological and sociological assessment information related to planning for children with special education needs. Perform casework services with parents as an integral part of assisting student. Increase parents understanding and participation in resolving their child’s needs and informing them of appropriate resources available. Responsible for writing and implementing individual education plans and have familiarity with response to intervention. Maintain accurate and timely records for the purpose of monitoring student progress. Assesses student progress towards targets and standards for the purpose of providing feedback to students, parents and administration throughout the learning process. Communicates and collaborates with instructional staff, school personnel, parents and a variety of community resources for the purpose of improving the overall quality of student outcomes. Understanding of various formal and informal assessment strategies and uses them to support the continuous development of students. Perform such other appropriate duties as may be assigned by the building Principal.
Pay And Benefits
Salary will be commensurate with professional training and experience according to salary schedule. Full health insurance program with major medical. Life insurance. Tuition reimbursement for approved graduate programs of study.
