As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—from your home. What You’ll Do
Set your own hours and tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform (no commuting). Provide 1-on-1 online instruction and personalize lessons to fit different learning styles. Explain IB Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches concepts clearly and adapt explanations to individual students. Work with students matched to your teaching style and expertise; leverage tools like the AI-powered Tutor Copilot to save prep time and enhance sessions. Invoice for tutoring sessions; we handle payments and help you get paid (base contract rates start at $18/hour and can increase for specialized subjects; pay can reach up to $40/hour with the same student). Get paid up to twice per week for completed sessions. What We Look For In a Tutor
Strong communication, a friendly and engaging teaching style. Expertise in IB Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches and ability to explain concepts clearly. Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles. Priority given to candidates with tutoring or teaching experience and/or graduate-level education. Ways To Connect With Students
