ST | 0 Hrs. OT on a Exempt Contract Contingent Basis located CONUS - Ten (10) States: Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming Across The Mid West Region supporting a federal agency within the Dept of Defense whose geo area encompasses a vast geographic region that includes all or parts of ten states: Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming to provide critical engineering services to strengthen national security, support economic growth, and mitigate disaster risks focusing on flood management, environmental restoration, and military construction across the Missouri River Basin. The USACE NWO mission is to deliver vital engineering solutions, in collaboration with partners, to secure the nation, energize the economy, and reduce disaster risks by focusing on a diverse array of missions, including flood risk management, navigation, hydropower, environmental restoration, and regulatory oversight. Seeking Safety and Health Manager (SHM) candidates with relevant Environmental Management Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Environmental Management Sector Clients such as USACE. This as a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Position and ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position. JOB OVERVIEW Provide services and support as a Environmental Remediation Services (ERS) (Safety and Health Manager (SHM)) in the Environmental Management Industry Sector focusing on Environmental Services Solutions for clients such as Department of Defense (DoD - USACE) | U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Northwestern Division, Omaha District (USACE NWO) Area of Responsibility (AOR) Generally Located In CONUS - Ten (10) States: Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming and across the Mid West Region. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Safety and Health Manager (SHM) | Environmental Management [USACE004009] Serve as a member of The Engagement Team as "Key Management Personnel" and work to develop and implement safety programs; conduct risk assessments; ensure compliance with safety regulations. Shut down site work if/when Health and Safety becomes an issue; enlist support of safety and occupational health professionals when multiple hazards are present. Develop, maintain, and oversee the Site Health and Safety Plan; audit the Accident Prevention Plan (APP) / Site Safety and Health Plan (SSHP); remain available for project emergencies. Evaluate occupational exposure and monitoring data impacting APP/SSHP requirements; ensure regulatory and contract requirements are met. Project-specific qualifications: CIH, CSP, or CHP certification; note radioactive materials requirements as defined in task orders. Qualifications Desired Qualifications for Safety and Health Manager (SHM) | Environmental Management [USACE004009] (USACE004009) Extensive knowledge of OSHA standards; environmental health and safety practices. Education / Experience: 7+ years in safety management; CSP preferred. Bachelor’s in Occupational Health and Safety. Minimum of 3 years managing safety and occupational health at hazardous waste site cleanup (or radioactive waste sites, if necessary). Skills: Risk assessment, safety program development, regulatory compliance, training. Professional Licensure: CSP required. Competencies: Excellent oral and written communication; proficient with Microsoft Office; e-Verify participant. Ancillary Details Of The Roles Permits/Licenses: ProSidian obtains permits and licenses necessary to conduct the work, including environmental, building, discharge, NRC/state radiation licenses, and DOT permits for MEC/HTRW transport. Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations; rights of entry on/off Government property may be required. Standard Skills: Project management proficiency; strong leadership, time management, organizational, and communication skills. Other Details Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. All employees shall conduct themselves to high ethical and business standards.
