Pay:
$30-$40 per hour depending on qualifications/certifications for classes and $20 per hour for administrative tasks and training.

Scope of Responsibilities
Create safe, effective, and enjoyable fitness programs tailored to members' needs.
Instruct individuals, small groups, or classes with a personalized approach following YMCA standards.
Follow up with members on their fitness progression.
Maintain accurate records of members' progress.
Promote YMCA programs and motivate members for long-term participation.
Ensure safe workouts, respond to incidents, and report issues.
Attend staff meetings and maintain current certifications.
Support YMCA’s mission and center operations as needed.
Requirements and Preferred Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent, with at least 1 year of personal training experience.
Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
NASM, ACSM, ACE, or AFAA certification preferred at hire.
Strength training certification and YMCA Principles of Health and Fitness within 90 days of hire.
Knowledge of health and fitness philosophies.
Ability to motivate, respond to safety situations, and work with diverse fitness levels and ages.
Child Abuse Prevention
Report hazards and suspicious behavior.
Follow policies for child safety and supervision.
Complete required training.
