academic year. We are seeking dynamic, mission-aligned educators to join our team. Role Overview
Our High School Teachers are an integral part of our instructional team, reporting to the School Director(s), with support from instructional coaches and Academic Deans. They are responsible for preparing students for college success through rigorous instruction and maintaining high expectations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Demonstrate solid knowledge of chemistry content. Establish and communicate high expectations for student learning. Use a variety of instructional strategies that are rigorous and engaging. Execute detailed lesson plans aligned with the academic year. Respond to students' learning needs proactively. Track and analyze student data to inform instruction and set goals. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and revise curriculum based on assessment data. Build positive relationships with students, fostering an environment of respect and responsibility. Maintain an organized, respectful, and positive classroom environment. Maximize instructional time and ensure students stay on task. Enforce school rules and expectations consistently. Supervise students during lunch and transition periods. Contribute to school success through additional responsibilities and leadership. Communicate regularly with parents about student progress. Qualifications
Relentless work ethic and belief in all students' potential. Bachelor's degree from a reputable institution; GPA meeting NJ DOE standards. Mastery of chemistry content and ability to foster student growth. Prior urban teaching experience preferred. Strong classroom management skills. NJ Department of Education certification or out-of-state equivalent. Compensation & Benefits
