Antelope Valley College invites applications for our adjunct (Temporary, part-time) faculty applicant pool for the following Drama Theater Art Adjunct Instructor. Responsibilities

Instruct students in the assigned discipline Assignment may include teaching courses during the day, evening, online courses and/or off-campus sites Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree or Master of Fine Arts in drama/theater arts/performance OR bachelor's degree or Bachelor of Fine Arts in drama/theater/performance AND master's degree in comparative literature, English, communication studies, speech, literature, or humanities OR the equivalent. Antelope Valley College Equivalency: Antelope Valley College Equivalency approved April 6, 2023 (Expires 4/6/26) Bachelor's or bachelor of fine arts in drama/theater/performance

AND

masters with at least 30 upper division and graduate credits in drama/theater arts/performance with a minimum of 15 of these units at the graduate level. Desirable

Practical and collegiate instruction experience in lighting design. Ability to provide and keep updated the light plot and associated paperwork for the artistic concepts of the production team within budgetary constraints. Ability to lead and supervise hang and focus, and notes sessions. Attend all production meetings, staging rehearsals as needed, cue setting, technical and dress rehearsals. Application Process

Foreign transcripts and degrees require official certification of equivalency to U.S. transcripts and degrees by a certified U.S. review service at the time of application and must identify graduate level coursework. Two (2) current letters of professional reference signed and dated within the last year.
