Teach the introductory Molecules, Cells, & Systems course, a foundational biochemistry course, and intermediate/advanced cell biology courses in the candidate\'s area of expertise Develop and maintain an active research program that includes undergraduate researchers Collaborate with the Department of Biological Sciences and the Program in Biochemistry; contribute to research that can involve any eukaryotic organism and pursue basic and/or applied questions in modern cell biology Contribute to the college\'s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in undergraduate education Department and Resources
Located in Northampton, MA, Smith College is the largest women\'s college in the country and emphasizes teaching and research across the liberal arts. Resources include Centers for Microscopy & Imaging, Mass Spectrometry, and Molecular Biology, a research greenhouse, Botanic Garden, an accredited animal care facility (with mammalian, amphibian, zebrafish and marine systems), and access to high-performance computational resources. The new faculty member will have opportunities to collaborate with Smith College\'s programs in Neuroscience, Exercise and Sport Studies, Engineering, and Statistics and Data Sciences. The Five College Consortium provides opportunities for collaborative research and mentoring of doctoral students. Position Details
