Responsibilities The position will manage a department of 20 faculty, 21 residents, and 2 fellows. In concert with the University, Erlanger Health and Apollo MD principals, the successful candidate will be responsible for the department’s patient care, education, research, and service operations while maintaining a fully accredited residency program.

Qualifications

Education:

M.D. or D.O. Degree.

Experience:

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of and experience with ACGME and LCME requirements, demonstrated experience and skills in fiscal management, developing clinical practice plans, communications, fundraising, and fostering collaborative working relationships with colleagues and community partners. Proven experience as a clinician, faculty member and teacher with an academic rank of Associate Professor or above for a minimum of three years. The ideal candidate should also have previous administrative experience and evidence of scholarly activity.

Licenses:

Board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine, as well as be eligible for licensure in Tennessee upon appointment. Additional subspecialty training is welcome but is not required.
