The LexisNexis Special Services Inc (LNSSI) Controlled Investigation Unit (CIU) delivers customized analyst services related to pattern analysis, device geolocation, and data science directly to government customers working in sensitive segments of Defense, Intelligence, and Federal Law Enforcement. About the Role

As a Pattern Analyst in LNSSI you will work directly with operational customers and government leadership using advanced analytic methodologies and cutting-edge software against large data sets and complex problems in a detail-oriented, fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. Candidates are expected to possess self-initiative and strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as advanced data handling and technical analysis experience. Candidates must be able to operate professionally and productively, often without direct supervision, while conducting high-quality analysis, data development, capability briefs, and reach-back support seamlessly across diverse analytic, technical, and investigative teams in support of a shared mission. Candidate will need to be onsite with client in greater DC area. Responsibilities

Apply event and geospatial data to criminal or intelligence problem sets to identify patterns in human behavior and movement, generate predictive insights, and produce actionable analytic findings in support of operations, investigations, or prosecution efforts. Rigorously investigating, evaluating, interpreting, and delivering data-driven findings from relevant and diverse data sources. Preparing and delivering timely and actionable tactical analysis products that will inform operational plans, investigative tactics, or prosecution strategy. Aligning analytic and investigative tactics, findings, and products with all applicable policies, laws, and legal processes when handling sensitive or classified data, making operational recommendations, or supporting criminal prosecution. Learning, applying, and maintaining relevant subject matter expertise in analysis, data science, or investigation in support of customer missions, and providing reliable consultation, training, briefings, or testimony. Attaining proficiency in numerous analytic tools, including but not limited to: LexisNexis Accurint Trax, ESRI ArcPro or GIS systems, i2 Analysts Notebook, SQL and Python or other scripting languages, and proprietary LexisNexis tools and datasets. Rapidly responding to changing circumstances requiring flexibility, time-management, and the ability to function under shifting priorities while keeping track of ongoing requirements and deadlines. Communicating and collaborating with both colleagues and customers and interacting effectively with command-level and senior leadership. Requirements

Must be a US citizen. Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required. A new clearance investigation may be sponsored for highly qualified candidates. Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum 3 years of analytic or investigative experience. CJIS certification required, as described below. Ability to work up to full time at a secure government site. Relocation to Washington DC/ Northern Virginia/ Maryland required. Remote work may be available, depending on business needs, with 25-50% travel required. Preferred Qualifications

Military, law enforcement, and/or federal government experience. Operational, investigative, or analytic experience with cell phone and GPS data analysis, geospatial mapping, digital forensics, device geolocation, and/or patterns of human movement. Masters degree or industry recognized technical certifications, such as Cellular Technologies Investigative SME, Certified Fraud Examiner, CompTIA, Certified Analytics Professional, or sworn law enforcement experience. Physical and/or logical access to criminal justice information is an essential function of this role. The successful candidate will be required to pass both the standard company background check for all employees and an enhanced criminal background check conducted by the Company’s state and local law enforcement partners conducted in compliance with the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) security policy. Employees in this role may also be subject to ongoing criminal background checks as required by the Company’s state and local law enforcement partners. Candidates and/or employees who are not certified by state and local law enforcement to access criminal justice information will not be able to perform the essential functions of this role. Employees who subsequently fail to obtain or maintain CJIS compliance may be reassigned or terminated. Benefits
