Assist management with the supervision of associates in assigned area of responsibility by assigning duties to associates, communicating goals and feedback, training associates on processes and procedures, and providing direction and guidance on member service approaches and techniques to ensure member complaints and issues are resolved according to company guidelines. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures; support the Open Door Policy; participate in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promotion, coaching and evaluating associates. Communicate and support membership by providing information on membership types, programs, and benefits to current and prospective members; process memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts; encourage membership renewals; participate in sales and marketing events; complete and maintain marketing recaps and other required documentation. Strive to meet membership goals and promote the value of Sam's Club products and services. Provide member service by acknowledging the member and identifying needs; assist with purchasing decisions; locate merchandise; guide and support members regarding self-service technology; assist with transactions using registers or self-checkout; ensure club pickup orders are filled. Oversee area by handling claims and returns, zoning the area, organizing merchandise, identifying shrink and damages, maintaining supplies and cleanliness; assist members with transporting items as needed. Complete accounting records, file transactions, and other required documentation by following procedures; manage cash operations including deposits and cash fund transfers; maintain confidentiality and accuracy of financial information. Develop and implement processes to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers and partners; analyze information, monitor progress, identify improvement opportunities. Promote and support compliance with ethics and integrity standards; explain and demonstrate how to apply policies in daily operations; assist management with correcting issues. Lead and participate in teams by coordinating work, providing feedback, and supporting others to meet timelines and quality expectations; model adaptability to change. Respect the Individual by fostering belonging, collaboration, and a positive work environment; mentor others and recognize contributions. Minimum Qualifications : 6 months retail experience including operating front-end equipment (e.g., cash register) AND 6 months customer service experience. Must be 18 years of age or older.
