Korn Ferry has partnered with a growing Real Estate firm. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
Controller
to join our leadership team. This individual will oversee the firm’s corporate accounting and financial operations, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and provide strategic financial insights to support business growth. The Controller will manage the accounting team and play a key role in driving operational efficiency, enhancing financial controls, and supporting investment activities. Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expense reporting. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and analyses for leadership and stakeholders. Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures. Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies as needed. Support forecasting, and strategic planning. Provide guidance and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering professional growth and a high-performance culture. Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements for investment management firms. Partner cross-functionally with investment, operations, and compliance teams to align financial practices with business objectives. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Prior experience in private equity, investment management, or financial services strongly preferred. Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities with a collaborative mindset. Yardi Seniority level
