Business Analyst Pipeline Strategy Execution

Exploratory Technology
team based in
Somerset, NJ. Role Overview The Business Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the Pipeline Chief of Staff by enabling early-stage competitive intelligence research, data-driven decision-making, streamlining operational processes, and enhancing cross-functional collaboration. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, organizational skills, and the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights that align with pipeline strategy and corporate goals. Key Responsibilities Monitor key scientific and investor conferences (e.g., ASH, ASCO) and summarize relevant findings. Develop and maintain dashboards and databases tracking early stage competitor pipelines for internal stakeholders including governance meetings and strategy meetings. Data Integration & Reporting: Support the development, integration, and maintenance of the pipeline project dashboard in collaboration with the PMO. Monitor organizational performance metrics and generate regular reports to inform strategic planning and communications. Assist in evaluating resource and capital allocation across projects to ensure alignment with pipeline strategy. Contribute to pipeline portfolio visioning and prioritization through data analysis and scenario planning. Stakeholder Engagement: Prepare briefing materials and data summaries for meetings with key stakeholders and senior leaders. Track action items and follow-ups to ensure timely execution and accountability. Operational Efficiency: Identify inter-project bottlenecks and synergy opportunities through cross-functional analysis. Recommend process improvements and operational efficiencies to support strategic pivots and evolving priorities. Communications & Documentation: Assist in drafting internal communications, including updates, presentations, and strategic documents. Maintain documentation of pipeline strategy, goals, and cascading objectives across departments. Special Projects: Support special analytical projects that require inputs from multiple branches of the organization. Conduct deep dives into operating models and performance metrics to inform pipeline decision-making. Prioritize and escalate insights from early-stage competitive intelligence to inform governance and strategy discussions, ensuring timely awareness of emerging trends and threats. Determine key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting cadences for pipeline dashboards and organizational metrics in collaboration with PMO and leadership. Shape stakeholder communications by selecting and synthesizing data for senior leadership briefings, ensuring clarity and strategic relevance. Drive special project direction by framing analytical approaches, defining success metrics, and integrating cross-departmental inputs to support pipeline decision-making. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred. 3+ years of experience in business analysis, strategy, or operations within a biotech/pharma or related industry. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools. Ability to learn and apply data visualization and dashboard tools (e.g., Spotfire, Tableau, etc.). English, mandarin is a plus.
