Title: Accounting Manager Potential compensation: $75,000 – $100,000 We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to support our finance and accounting operations. This role works closely with the Controller and Assistant Controller to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across various financial functions. Key Responsibilities
Support the Controller with daily banking activities. Ensure timely and accurate execution of positive pay transactions. Assist the Assistant Controller in conducting monthly physical inventory counts. Oversee the monthly valuation process for company inventory to ensure precision. Collaborate with the Assistant Controller to facilitate smooth and timely audits. Evaluate departmental workflows to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and resource utilization, while maintaining high standards of accuracy. Provide guidance to accounting staff and other departments on complex or non-standard transactions by interpreting accounting policies and offering practical solutions. Prepare and distribute weekly P&L reports. Review and reconcile accounts across the organization. Contribute to the preparation of internal consolidated reporting schedules on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Assist with internal financial reporting matters as directed by the Assistant Controller. Maintain and update the global customer credit database to monitor credit exposure and ensure compliance with established credit limits. Lead and develop a team of three accounting professionals, fostering a culture aligned with the company's values. Additional Duties
Provide onboarding and ongoing training for accounting staff. Collaborate with direct reports to set annual goals and track progress to support professional growth. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing accounting, with strong cost accounting expertise. Public accounting experience and manufacturing industry background required. Proficiency in accounting systems like SAP/Oracle. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality under pressure. Seniority level
