(PUR) seeks a
Renewable Energy Analyst
interested in a rewarding public service career. The Division of PUR provides support to the Commission in its regulation of Virginias investor-owned electric, natural gas, water and sewer utilities, member-owned electric cooperatives, and the telecommunications industry. The Renewable Energy Analyst works with utility, state, and industry partners to help manage the Commissions renewable energy programs by conducting investigations, analysis, and technical work in renewable energy and rate cases. The position offers a hybrid work schedule, generally 3 days of telework and 2 days in office per week, as well as continuing education, professional development opportunities, and career growth. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manually enter, track, and manage renewable energy project contracts in an electronic database Relative to such contracts, serve as a Staff liaison with the regional entity charged with managing renewable energy certificates associated with the energy production from these projects Investigate utility filings associated with renewable energy programs Evaluate utility rates in utility applications Document findings of investigations in pre-filed written testimony and reports Defend findings as a staff witness at evidentiary hearings Assist in maintaining, tracking, and analyzing renewable energy portfolio data Work with utility, state, and industry partners to help manage the Commissions renewable energy programs Participate in Commission rulemakings, workgroups, and stakeholder activities Assist in the monitoring and review of legislative proposals at the Virginia General Assembly Assist in managing the Division's electronic system used for processing utility and industry filings associated with renewable energy programs Perform other tasks as assigned in areas such as Energy Efficiency, Demand Side Management, and Generator Attribute Tracking of Renewable Energy Certificates Please Note:
