Accounting Manager

oversees all accounting and financial reporting functions. These include event settlements, account reconciliation, financial statement compilation, and payroll. This role pays an annual salary of $45,000-$60,000. Benefits for Full-Time roles:

Our venue is a spacious 45-acre complex that includes various facilities to accommodate a variety of events, including the Marvin and Laura Berry Pavilion, two Exhibit Halls, the Conference Center, the Equestrian Center, and the Middletown Meadow. We are proud to be a Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) Star Facility! GBAC STAR is the gold standard of a high-performance cleaning and maintenance regimen for institutional and commercial facilities. Our facility is equipped and ready for various events such as rodeos, livestock shows, boxing, wrestling, concerts, trade shows, corporate meetings, banquets, weddings, quinceañeras, parties, horse events, and sporting events. The Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds, managed by Oak View Group, provides varied opportunities for the community of Nueces County to gather and share experiences. Responsibilities

Perform all general accounting functions including general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations. Oversee Box Office cash handling procedures and verify bank statements against daily deposits. Prepare bi-weekly payroll for all salaried and hourly employees; coordinate human resource functions/policies. Perform account and bank reconciliations. Prepare event settlements and generate account transfers or check payments. Prepare monthly financial statements. Assist the General Manager with budget preparation and financial reporting as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, public or business administration, or a related field; CPA preferred. Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Arena/Hotel/Convention Center accounting. Flexibility to work beyond normal hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays based on the event calendar. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to work well with all management levels. Knowledge of MAS 200 or similar accounting software. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of food and beverage cost controls. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Discretion handling confidential information. Experience with employee file administration and HRIS systems. Knowledge of Momentus, AutoCad, or related event management and design software. Experience with ADP Payroll eTime, NetSuite, Coupa, Oracle preferred. Understanding of general human resource administration. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Assist with talent acquisition activities as needed. Manage payroll processing for all employees. Handle corporate sales invoicing, client communication, and reconciliations. Assist with annual budget and audits. Support month-end close, financial processing, and bank reconciliations. Maintain confidentiality of HR-related documentation. Our Commitment
