Cost Analyst Position Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented
Cost Analyst
to join our Finance team. This role is essential in helping drive profitability, optimize pricing strategies, and provide strategic financial insights across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong modeling skills, a deep understanding of cost structures in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to partner cross-functionally with teams including Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Finance.

Cost Analyst Key Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive financial models and analysis to support key strategic initiatives and inform executive decision-making. Build, consolidate, and analyze actual costs by job to develop a robust price modeling strategy tailored to business goals. Create dynamic "what-if" and trade-off scenario models to evaluate financial implications of various strategic options. Conduct profitability and financial risk assessments for product lines and individual part activities, with both short- and long-term views. Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly cost/price metrics and financial reporting packages for leadership review. Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Finance to align financial planning with business operations. Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process, providing key cost and pricing insights. Participate in ERP-related meetings and contribute to the enhancement of system processes and financial data accuracy.
Cost Analyst Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA/CMA a plus. 3–5+ years of experience in cost analysis, FP&A, or a similar financial role within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in financial modeling, cost accounting, and variance analysis. Advanced Excel skills Strong business acumen with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights. Excellent communication and collaboration skills across various departments. Detail-oriented, self-starter, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
