Business Unit Manager - Prime Finance

The NAM Equity Business Execution team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to support the Prime Services business, with a specific focus on Prime Brokerage and Delta One Trading. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful delivery of strategic initiatives, compliance with bespoke regulations, and maintaining a robust governance and control framework across various markets. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Equities and Prime Finance business, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks by collaborating with Legal, Risk, Finance, Operations, Technology, and Compliance. As a trusted advisor, you will work directly with senior management to achieve strategic and tactical objectives and help the business maintain its leadership position in the industry. Key Responsibilities
Driving and coordinating strategic initiatives with senior management, encompassing clients, people, capital, and compliance. Collaborating across product groups, regions, sectors, and functional partners to foster business growth. Leading the implementation of new business strategies and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment across all relevant departments and support groups (Finance, Tech, Ops, Legal, Compliance). Risk Management & Control
Driving control improvement projects and assessing their impact in relation to regulatory changes and commitments. Identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks that could impact operations, including legal, tax, regulatory, capacity, and extraordinary transaction costs. Investigating issues, performing root cause analysis of operational risk events, and ensuring timely delivery of remediation and Corrective Action Plans. Proactively assessing risk in business decisions, safeguarding the firm\'s reputation, clients, and assets by ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, and applying sound ethical judgment. Escalating, managing, and transparently reporting control issues. Operational Excellence & Efficiency
Working with Business Execution partners to streamline processes, technology, and develop consistent policies and procedures. Driving efficiency, productivity, and cost savings initiatives in partnership with senior management and other functional partners. Reviewing and enhancing existing processes, and ensuring the development of new controls that are comprehensive and business-appropriate. Financial Analysis & Performance
Optimizing the business performance through key resource-related items such as fees, cost base, RWA, and capital utilization. Analyzing financial performance, including expenses, identifying productivity initiatives, and driving their implementation. Conducting ad-hoc analyses and preparing presentations for senior management, framing issues and synthesizing key findings and recommendations; managing special projects as required. Qualifications, Capabilities, & Skills
Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent. Minimum of 8 years of experience in COO/Business Management roles, ideally within a Markets business. Strong background in Equities/Prime Business is highly preferred including knowledge of relevant regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze large datasets and present concise conclusions. Excellent project management and organizational skills, demonstrating strong attention to detail and a logical thought process. Good maturity and poise for effective interaction with senior management. Strong internal relationship-building skills across diverse functions. Energetic, self-motivated, and effective under pressure, thriving in fast-paced and demanding environments. Education
