Responsibilities
Be detail-oriented and motivated to support SaaS revenue recognition. Assist in validation, accounting, and review of sales-related transactions. Contribute to accurate reporting of revenue and accounting data as part of the monthly revenue close process. Play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of revenue reporting and contribute to strategic business initiatives such as new product assessments and acquisitions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain internal controls related to revenue and support audits. Perform advanced Excel-based data analysis to support revenue accounting activities. Process contract modifications, revenue adjustments, and other journal entries in RevPro. Assist in testing and implementation of system updates and enhancements. Participate in ad hoc projects, including new product evaluations, acquisitions, and internal reporting initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; Master's degree is a plus. 1-3 years of experience in revenue recognition or related accounting roles. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly. Proven ability to collaborate across departments, including Sales, Product, and Audit teams. Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical, solution-oriented mindset.
Preferred Skills
CPA certification and/or public accounting experience is highly preferred. In-depth knowledge of ASC 606, particularly for SaaS revenue models. Experience with SFDC, RevPro (Zuora Revenue), and Workday. Advanced Excel skills (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUP, data modeling).
Compensation:
This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities. $72,700.00 - $135,100.00
