Senior Accounting Manager . This position will be a key person in the accounting department responsible for month end closing, financial statement preparation and reporting, account reconciliations, and supporting business operations. This role will also help establish budgets, forecasting, and proforma projections as well as cash forecasting for business requirements. The successful candidate will be team oriented with an initiative to be a valued business partner to Operations. Base pay range This range is provided by Phoenix Spirit Group, LLC. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Base pay range : $90,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Performs monthly financial close functions. Compiling and analyzing financial information to prepare entries including revenue journals, fixed assets, payroll, prepaids, accruals, etc. File sales & use tax and other local taxes with necessary government institutions. Oversee the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation. Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. Assist with preparing PBC list for year-end audits. Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested. Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages the accounting staff who are responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget preparation. Recruits and hires accounting and financial staff and conducts performance evaluations. Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff. Required Skills & Abilities
Excellent management and supervisory skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required. Five years or more of related experience required. Seniority level
