Responsibilities
Lead tax liaison for tax compliance and financial reporting, working directly with and reporting to Tax Director Coordinate supporting documentation to outside tax consultants for tax returns and/or special projects Calculate and prepare all federal, state and local income quarterly estimates and extensions for KUKA US group Responsible for the preparation and filing of all federal, state and local income tax returns for KUKA US group Prepare Form 5471, 5472, 1118 and other foreign tax reporting forms for the US return Support US research credit, IRS Sec. 263A, 163(j), and other federal tax calculations as well as transfer pricing studies Responsible for supporting internal and external financial reporting for income taxes or tax provision support (federal, state & local, and international) on a quarterly and annual basis. (i.e. update tax provisions for federal and state, deferred taxes, ETR schedules) Support U.S. federal tax management functions including but not limited to controversy, planning for examinations, notices, accounting method changes, and M&A support. Support state tax management functions including but not limited to controversy, examinations, notices, method changes, incentives & credits, nexus issues, and M&A support. Support international tax management functions including but not limited to informational reporting (FBAR & IRC Sec. 1441 compliance), transfer pricing, foreign jurisdiction tax compliance (Canada & Mexico), IRC Sec. 956, IRC Sec. 385, and M&A support. Support property tax, employment and tax registration as needed Work closely with internal colleagues to complete accounting journal entries, intercompany allocations, and eliminations Review and verify correct tax accounting for fixed assets Identify opportunities to improve processes and streamline tax operations Work closely with accounting staff and management of U.S. subsidiaries. Qualifications
At least 3 years’ relevant experience, preferably in a large corporation or a large public accounting firm Excellent oral and written communication skills Experience with tax provision (financial reporting) and tax compliance (federal, state and local) Experience with IFRS accounting Strong background with TR One Source tax software (or equivalent) Expert in Excel and other Microsoft products Must be able to analyze tax issues and accounting records Be able to manage multiple projects at once and reprioritize tasks as needed, ensuring deadlines are never missed Self-starter with hands-on working style and effective time management, organizational, and teaming skills. Ability and desire to learn and communicate effectively to management. Preferred qualifications
Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft AX 12 or D-365 Knowledge of Vertex Cloud tax software Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (Preferred but not required) Job Details
