Hartfiel Automation Mission of the Role
Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions; verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received or orders invoiced. The Accounts Receivable role will be responsible for various accounting and clerical tasks related to the maintenance and processing of receivable accounts and transactions. This includes computing, classifying, recording, verifying and maintaining data and payments to accounts receivable records. Prepares customer invoices and other records pertinent to accounting transactions. Mission of the Role
Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions; verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received or orders invoiced. The Accounts Receivable role will be responsible for various accounting and clerical tasks related to the maintenance and processing of receivable accounts and transactions. This includes computing, classifying, recording, verifying and maintaining data and payments to accounts receivable records. Prepares customer invoices and other records pertinent to accounting transactions.
Education/Experience
A good knowledge of accounting principles and procedures is necessary. One or more years of accounting experience is preferred. Associates or Bachelors degree in accounting is preferred. In addition, knowledge of accounting software and proficiency in computers is required as most transactions are done electronically. Must have good communication and problem-solving skills and be organized and pay attention to detail and accuracy. Being achievement oriented and driven to improve organizational efficiency is critical.
Key Responsibilities
Audits supplier invoices against purchase orders, researches discrepancies, posts into computer on a timely basis to ensure discounts are received. Prepares and processes daily cash and credit card deposits and fills out cash journal and other spreadsheets. Research and resolve customer product returns; interactions with customers, vendors, and internal colleagues. Assists employees, suppliers, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services. Enters data to financial data processing system according to company procedures. Reviews, balances, and interprets computer reports, and makes corrections. Assists with related special projects, as required. Assists in monthly and year-end closing, including annual audit. Works as a backup to other accounting personnel when needed. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor. Follows all quality processes and procedures as established by Hartfiel Automation.
This is an office clerical role where there may be occasional lifting of 10 pounds or less. Sitting or standing, interfacing with computer systems. Seniority level
