Role Overview
As a Senior Tax Manager, you will be a key player in tax compliance and planning engagements, helping to drive strategic decisions, and providing top-tier service to clients. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to clients, identify new opportunities for business, and mentor junior staff. What You’ll Do
Review and prepare complex federal and state tax returns including partnership, S Corporation, C Corporation, individual, trust, and gift tax returns. Provide expert advice on tax strategies, tax planning, and compliance issues to help clients achieve their goals. Build strong, trusted relationships with clients, offering proactive guidance and business insights. Conduct in-depth research on complex tax matters and create actionable recommendations. Represent clients in interactions with the IRS and other tax authorities. Mentor and support the growth of junior staff members, fostering their professional development and providing timely feedback to team members. Contribute to the firm's business development efforts and marketing initiatives. What You Bring to the Table
CPA license (required) At least 9 years of recent public accounting experience (experience in small to mid-sized firms preferred). Deep technical expertise in high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and businesses. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Proficiency in QuickBooks (experience with CCH ProSystem is a plus). Experience in international tax issues is a plus, but not required.
