Joining H&R Block as a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional means you’ll serve clients with diverse tax needs with the support of an expert team, dedicated to providing you with advanced tax training you’ll need to be successful. What you’ll bring to the team includes the ability to conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools, prepare complete and accurate tax returns, generate business growth, increase client retention, offer additional products and services, and provide clients with IRS support. Note: Enrollment in or completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment is not a guarantee of employment. Location notes: Shippensburg, PA and Chambersburg, PA regional postings may appear. All eligible candidates who apply will be considered for opportunities across locations. Responsibilities
Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email). Prepare complete and accurate tax returns. Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services. Provide clients with IRS support. Mentor and support teammates. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. CPA or Enrolled Agent certification. Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership). 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax. Experience conducting virtual tax interviews. Experience with tax planning and audit support. Sales and/or marketing experience. Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment. Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax; experience completing individual returns. High school diploma / equivalent or higher. Must complete continuing education requirements and meet IRS and applicable state requirements. Employment details
