We are seeking a CRA Residential Loan Officer who will help expand access to homeownership in low- and moderate-income communities. In this role, you’ll build referral networks, guide clients through the mortgage process, and play a key part in strengthening our CRA efforts. This is a meaningful opportunity to impact both customers and communities while advancing your career in residential lending. Key Accountabilities
Originate and process residential mortgage loan applications in compliance with regulations and bank policies. Actively solicit and originate mortgage loans for low- and moderate-income borrowers and communities. Develop referral sources by partnering with realtors, homebuyer counseling agencies, builders, and branch bankers. Serve as a liaison to local, state, and federal agencies, as well as nonprofit community development groups. Provide clients with pre-qualification guidance and recommend appropriate loan programs. Maintain regular communication with loan processors to ensure timely loan processing. Promote Associated Bank loan programs through community involvement and networking. Identify customer needs and cross-sell additional bank products and services. Education & Experience
2+ years residential loan processing, loan origination, or housing counseling experience with a financial institution, mortgage banking company, or nonprofit agency. Preferred
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience. This position requires a credit check per 12 CFR Chapter X, Part 1026, Truth in Lending, Regulation Z. Operates in full compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as applicable regulations and laws, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering and S.A.F.E. Act requirements. Must submit required information to meet registry requirements, obtain a unique identifier, and maintain the registration requirements as directed by the S.A.F.E Act.
