The Accounting Assistant is primarily responsible for supporting Accounts Payable with entering and managing paperwork and files. The Accounting Assistant will assist with departmental organization and record maintenance. Duties also include completing other monthly functions of the accounting department. This position earns between $23.45/hour to $28.14 with a midpoint of $25.80/hour. The Accounting Assistant is primarily responsible for supporting Accounts Payable with entering and managing paperwork and files. The Accounting Assistant will assist with departmental organization and record maintenance. Duties also include completing other monthly functions of the accounting department. This position earns between $23.45/hour to $28.14 with a midpoint of $25.80/hour. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Record Maintenance: sort incoming paperwork, file paid invoices and maintain proper documentation in AP files, update vendor data, assist with storage projects.

Assist Accounts Payable Specialist with timely invoice entry and processing in Bill.com.

Show File Processing and Organization: Organize physical show files, process manual show checks and W9s for vendors in Business Central.

STG company credit card reconciliation, coding, and payment.

Research and resolve vendor discrepancies and inquiries and establish credit accounts as needed.

Manage postage machine

Monthly machine maintenance (updates, calling repair, etc.)

Add funds and track to appropriate department.

Ordering office supplies for all departments while enforcing purchasing policy.

Other: accounting department functions as needed

Qualifications

Two years of comparable office, administrative and/or accounting work experience.

Demonstrated attention to detail and high levels of accuracy when performing data entry, while still maintaining ability to deliver in tight timeframes required.

Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency using Microsoft Office.

Experience with Business Central preferred.

Interest in the performing arts a plus.

Physical Requirements

Vision – correction vision close to 20/20 is necessary to effectively use the computer screen.

Sitting / Standing / Walking – about 80% of the time is spent seated at a desk.
