Base pay range
$80,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Addition Management Growing CPA Firm is seeking a Tax Accountant to join their team! RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts. Conduct tax research and stay up to date on changes in tax laws and regulations. Assist with tax planning and provide proactive tax advice to clients. Respond to client inquiries and resolve tax-related issues. Maintain accurate and organized client records. Assist with tax audits and represent clients before tax authorities. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of client projects. Participate in professional development activities to enhance tax knowledge and skills. Utilize tax software and other relevant technology efficiently. Prepare and record journal entries for various transactions. Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other balance sheet accounts. Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing financial statements. Assist with the preparation of financial statements and other accounting tasks as needed. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1-4 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax preparation and planning. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations. Proficiency in tax preparation software. EA, CPA or working towards CPA certification preferred. Experience with specific industry tax regulations. Experience with tax planning for high-net-worth individuals or complex business structures. Advanced knowledge of tax research databases (e.g., Checkpoint, RIA). Seniority level
