Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Identifies trends and variances through the development of reports such as forecast and trend analyses. Analyzes budgets to ensure appropriate charging of expenses, integrates data, and develops complex analytical reports for principal investigators, including trend analysis, forecasting future financial scenarios, developing long-range projections, and conducting variance analyses. 2.
Budget Development:
Develops proposals and budgets for grant and contract submissions; coordinates with partnering institutions. Helps ensure compliance with sponsor regulations and University policies and procedures. 3.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Reviews, interprets, and applies sponsor policies on topics including cost allowability, budget management, and award management activities to ensure compliance with agency requirements and University policies. Plans, organizes, and prioritizes actions to maintain compliance across multiple awards and investigators’ portfolios. 4.
Effective Finance Partner:
Interacts with faculty and internal/external contacts, such as the School of Medicine, Grant & Contract Administration, and granting agencies. Assists in managing the internal pre-award proposal process and sponsored funding management. 5. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to be detail-oriented and multi-task in a high-volume environment. Well-developed organizational and analytical skills to multitask and integrate functions. Ability to prepare journal entries. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume office with high accuracy, manage priorities, and provide quality customer service, demonstrating flexibility, creative problem-solving, and resourcefulness.
