Tax Senior Manager – Financial Services Office – Fiduciary/Trust and Estate Tax Administration Services (FTEAS). EY is a leader in serving the global financial services marketplace with a dedicated Financial Services Organization (FSO). FTEAS provides fiduciary/court accounting services for trusts and estates serving banks, law firms, family offices, and trustees across the United States. The Senior Manager is part of the leadership team, driving strategy and success of the FTEAS business. Responsibilities
Technical review of complex trust and estate accountings. Lead and supervise teams to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of work products to clients. Manage client relationships and retain client goodwill. Participate in business development, including weekly sales calls, client presentations, and marketing efforts. Build relationships with potential new clients; attend industry conferences and business development events. Ensure client satisfaction through timely responses and compliance with requirements, enhancing long-term relationships. Provide estimates for new accounting work and prepare documentation for new engagements; establish client/engagement codes and vet matters for Independence and eDocs compliance. Foster cross-selling with internal EY groups; support engagement profitability and staff development. Facilitate team communications, share knowledge, and make decisions to meet engagement deliverables. Develop operational efficiencies to deliver high-quality services and outputs. Support staff development and a collaborative working culture. Complete self-study courses to maintain fiduciary accounting and software knowledge and meet Firm CE requirements. Monitor engagement profitability, staff efficiency, and workload to meet deliverables; oversee billing and collections. Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline. CPA, EA, licensed Attorney, Professional Fiduciary or CTFA certification. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong fiduciary accounting skills. Experience reviewing complex accountings and IRS Forms 706, 1041 and K-1s. Understanding of complex investments, tax concepts, and trust structures/terminology. Ability to review and interpret trust agreements and estate planning documents; state-specific principal and income acts. Strong management and leadership skills; strong client interaction and business development abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, fiduciary software, and EY systems; thorough fiduciary tax knowledge. 10+ years fiduciary/court accounting experience with track record of managing staff and engagements. Other Skills
Experience with complex assets and large trusts/estates; family offices a plus. Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. What We Offer You
