Job Summary
Under administrative direction, uses specialized knowledge and skills to administer personal trust accounts. Leads projects of broad scope and complexity, resolving or recommending solutions to complex issues. Regular contact with senior management and internal customers is required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Administers trusts according to statutes and regulations. Participates in income tax planning and preparation, explaining tax matters to beneficiaries and relevant parties. Interacts with Financial Advisors and clients to define goals, establish asset allocation, and review portfolio changes. Engages with beneficiaries, advisors, and Financial Advisors in trust administration. May participate as a voting member of the Administrative Committee. Exercises discretionary authority within policies and procedures. Assists in sales processes through meetings, calls, and seminars. Responds to inquiries regarding estate planning, trust services, and taxes. Leads and mentors less experienced staff. Builds strong organizational relationships. Reviews progress with leadership. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Understanding of IRA regulations, Inherited IRA administration, trust laws, finance, accounting, income tax, investment concepts, banking, and securities industry operations. Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, and ethical skills. Ability to operate office software and trust accounting systems. Ability To
Work professionally in an office environment. Handle detailed tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Coach and mentor staff. Partner across functions and facilitate meetings. Work independently, make decisions, and resolve complex problems. Communicate effectively at all organizational levels. Experience and Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance. 4+ years of personal trust administration experience. Other Requirements
