Overview Hornblower is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager for our corporate operations in Orlando FL.
Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of the accounts payable department, including invoice processing, payment runs, and vendor account maintenance.
Supervise, train, and develop AP staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Monitor AP aging reports and resolve outstanding issues with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Develop and implement AP policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
Collaborate with procurement, finance, and other departments to streamline processes and improve workflow.
Prepare and review AP-related reports for month-end and year-end close.
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement within the AP function.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of management experience, or 10+ years of overall professional experience.
Strong understanding of AP best practices.
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
Familiarity with 3-way matching, PO systems, and vendor management platforms.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with ERP systems such as Great Plains, SAP, or Oracle.
Experience leading AP process improvement or automation initiatives.
Tourism industry experience.
