Manager, Technical Accounting
A large, diversified global manufacturer is seeking a
Manager, Segment Technical Accounting
to join its Corporate Controllership team. This role provides exposure to complex accounting matters, SOX compliance, M&A support, and business-critical projects while partnering closely with Segment CFOs, Corporate leadership, and Operating Company management. This position offers
career growth opportunities , with several prior team members advancing internally into leadership roles across the business. Key Responsibilities
Provide guidance on complex accounting issues, acquisitions/dispositions, digital costs, and revenue recognition Support deal structuring, valuations, and M&A activity in collaboration with Corporate Development and business leadership Contribute to SEC reporting and analysis of significant accounting matters Lead ad hoc initiatives, including preparing materials and presenting to senior leadership Assist Operating Companies with close process, technical accounting, and reporting questions Perform fluctuation analyses, reserve roll-forwards, and internal reporting Support SOX compliance initiatives and remediation efforts at Operating Companies Help implement new accounting guidance, policies, and procedures Prepare deliverables for the Audit Committee Build strong partnerships across business units to support controllership and decision-making Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred) 6+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting and/or public company experience strongly preferred) Strong understanding of
US GAAP, financial reporting, and SOX compliance Experience with audit, M&A, or manufacturing/cost accounting is a plus Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with senior leadership exposure Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities Energetic, hands-on, and continuous improvement mindset Why This Role
