Job Summary
We are seeking a Business Analyst to support the integration and implementation of Vertex O Series within our enterprise systems. The Business Analyst will work closely with tax, finance, IT, and implementation partners to gather business requirements, assist with configurations, support testing activities, and ensure successful deployment of the solution. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and hands-on experience with system integrations and process documentation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with documenting functional and technical requirements related to Vertex integrations
Assist with Vertex O Series configuration activities, including setting up taxability rules, product mappings, and jurisdictional requirements
Develop, execute and document test scenarios for functional testing
Develop import files to import into Vertex for bulk testing
Identify, track, and help resolve defects or discrepancies
Run Vertex reports
Assist with end user training and documentation
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field
Hands-on experience implementing Vertex indirect tax solutions in SAP ECC and S/4 Hana for US and Canada, including direct experience with Vertex Accelerator and Vertex Plus Tools
Basic understanding of sale and use tax principles strongly preferred
Strong knowledge and experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with cross-functional teams
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
Strong business process knowledge/expertise with an ability to analyze complex business scenarios and translate to optimal solutions
