Experienced Associate
on Andersen’s real estate valuation team, you will play a key role in executing appraisal assignments and supporting client engagements. You will take on more responsibility, including building complex financial models, drafting major sections of appraisal reports, and beginning to manage portions of client relationships under supervision. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with prior appraisal or valuation experience to advance their technical skills and prepare for increased leadership responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Review financial statements, rent rolls, and lease agreements to evaluate income and expense performance.
Build and review discounted cash flow models (via Excel & Argus Enterprise) that incorporate property specific assumptions and market data.
Utilize the three common valuation methodologies (Cost, Income, Sales Comparison Approach) to appraise commercial real estate and reconcile multiple value conclusions.
Independently prepare sections of appraisal reports and restricted-use reports in compliance with USPAP standards.
Receive hands on real estate valuation training, direct feedback from industry leaders, and the opportunity to attend real estate networking events and conferences.
Perform site inspections across many different property types (e.g. industrial, retail, multifamily, mixed-use, hotels, etc.) across the United States under limited supervision.
Provide guidance and peer review for Associates, assisting with training and quality control.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; minimum 3.2 GPA.
1-3 years of professional experience in commercial real estate valuation, consulting, or related industry.
Proficiency in MS Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, and financial modeling required).
Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable speaking with market participants (brokers, buyers, sellers, etc.).
Exposure to business writing and strong literary and grammatical competency.
Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and work independently and as part of a team.
Experience building Discounted Cash Flow Models for different property types (industrial, retail, multifamily, mixed-use, hotels, etc.) is preferred.
Previous experience with Argus Enterprise, Costar Realty, REIS, ESRI is a plus.
Active Appraisal Trainee License preferred; progress toward a Certified General Appraiser License or MAI designation a plus.
Compensation And Benefits Our firm offers a competitive base compensation, benefits package, and discretionary employee bonus program for eligible employees based on individual and firm performance metrics. For individuals hired to work in Los Angeles, the expected salary range for this role is $84,900 to $102,300; actual offers vary based on qualifications.

Compensation: In addition to base salary, we offer discretionary bonuses based on firm and individual performance, a discretionary long-term incentive program, and other forms of discretionary compensation.
