As a Field Reimbursement Manager, you will lead education, assistance, and issue resolution for healthcare providers and their staff regarding patient access to Johnson & Johnson Immunology therapies. This field-based role covers Knoxville, Chattanooga, Johnson City, Cleveland, and Kingsport, TN, with up to 50% on-site engagement.

Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/innovative-medicine Team and Territory The Patient Engagement and Customer Solutions (PECS) team serves patients during their treatment journey with Janssen therapies to help overcome challenges related to fulfillment, onboarding, and adherence. Key Responsibilities Educate healthcare providers on product coverage, prior authorizations and appeals, reimbursement processes, claims submissions, procedures, and payer coding requirements for core and launch products. Collaborate with field support teams (sales representatives, key account managers) as the reimbursement expert for the local team. Address critical access and affordability issues for patients with urgency and accuracy. Partner with managed care colleagues to understand current policies and potential future changes. Provide field-based reimbursement and access support, education, and problem solving aligned to FRM Rules of Engagement. Build strong, trust-based relationships with customers in assigned Immunology accounts. Manage territory logistics, routing, and account business planning. Maintain knowledge of national, regional, local, and account market dynamics including coverage and coding requirements. Enhance understanding of hub and specialty distribution channels to support practice and patient needs. Collaborate with internal Johnson & Johnson departments (marketing, sales, medical science, SCG, IBG, HCC, PECS) and serve as subject matter expert on access and affordability across payer types (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial). Ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and training requirements. Market Access Expertise Extensive knowledge of medication access channels (pharmacy and medical benefits, buy & bill, and/or AOB across multiple sites of care). Stay current on changes in product coverage, access knowledge, and marketplace dynamics to optimize material delivery. Adapt to the evolving healthcare ecosystem to tailor resources and messaging to HCPs and staff. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree (healthcare or business/public administration preferred). MBA or MPH is a plus. Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience. Account management and/or reimbursement experience in hospital or provider office settings, with strong customer relationships. Expertise in pharmacy and medical/buy & bill benefits, coding, and billing. Reimbursement or managed care experience (revenue cycle, buy-and-bill, prior authorization, coding, and appeals). Ability to collaborate and influence across a matrix organization. Problem-solving skills for navigating access challenges. Experience with patient support HUB services. Valid US driver’s license and a driving record compliant with company standards. Ability to travel up to 50%. Permanent residence in the listed territory. Preferred Immunology disease state experience. Advanced degree and/or certifications in prior authorization, billing, and coding. Strong market access acumen related to payer approval processes and business acumen. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives affecting reimbursement. Technical knowledge of payer policy (coding, coverage, payment). Experience with Salesforce.com, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
