Hauppauge, Long Island Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Salary Range:
$60,000 - $80,000 (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze quarterly financial reports (Balance Sheet, Key Indicators, Profit & Loss Statement) Review and input sales tax payments Monitor and log daily hours Process intercompany transfers and monitor charges Review and approve all checks/bills for signatures Maintain journals for due to/from accounts Manage utilities, expenses, and vendor cost monitoring Prepare and review bank reconciliations and account balances Conduct commission reporting Monitor overdue storage accounts Reconcile accounts Analyze P&L reports and ensure accuracy Negotiate with vendors to optimize costs on a monthly basis Manage interest out loans, ensuring accurate records of holdings Assist with weekly transfers and financial documentation preparation
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred) 2+ years of accounting experience (preferably in a corporate or service-based industry) Strong proficiency in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and intercompany transactions Knowledge of sales tax reporting and compliance Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze financial statements Ability to work independently while meeting strict deadlines Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
