Dallas Independent School District Perform complex, advanced-level accounting and audit work related to the financial, accounting, treasury and purchasing operations of district activity fund accounts within the constraints of generally accepted accounting principles, practices and procedures. Participate in the development and implementation of new and revised financial systems, process, etc. Identify the training, learning, and support needs of office managers/financial clerks and principals in an assigned school division on activity funds procedures and processes. Promptly respond to calls from campuses, and satisfactorily addresses the queries and requests. Review activity fund monthly reports and accounts on a monthly basis for assigned campuses Perform analysis and prepare journal entries and/or bank transfers of activity fund transactions Coordinate bank activities between campuses, the district’s bank, Treasurer and other departments as it relates to activity funds and conducting thorough research of financial discrepancies identified during monthly report reviews and campus visits. Assist with revisions to activity funds processes and procedures Conduct campus desk reviews as determined by risk assessment Liaise with other departments in resolving campus issues in areas of budget, purchasing, Oracle, Accounts Payable, grants, etc Analyze activity fund financial transactions to ensure compliance with all state and federal requirements and District Board policy Assist Internal and External Auditors by providing requested information Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Accounting, Finance or directly related field 3-5 years' directly related experience Proficient computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Professional and Oracle Strong analytical and organizational skills Must have strong interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to prioritize and research, solve problems and tasks of a routine degree of complexity under pressure Ability to perform basic functions with minimal supervisory assistance
