Manager, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting
to join the Accounting and Finance team. This role reports to the Director, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting and supports external reporting, internal quarterly reporting to executives and committees, and the integrity of Peloton's financial statements. ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to lead external reports and supervise quarterly internal reporting. The role is crucial for ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial statements and will partner with cross‑functional teams to support reporting objectives. YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON SEC Filings:
Lead the preparation and timely filing of external financial reports (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other required filings). Draft financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A sections; coordinate review with internal teams, external auditors, and legal counsel. Earnings Materials:
Assist in preparing materials for the Disclosure Committee, Audit Committee, and senior leadership. Review and tie out all financial information within quarterly Shareholders’ deliverables, investor materials, debt covenant calculations, statutory financial documents, and earnings release documents to support the earnings call and Investor Relations needs. Reporting and Disclosure Research:
Support research around complex accounting issues for significant transactions to ensure proper reporting and disclosure in filings. Internal Controls and SOX:
Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting to ensure SOX compliance. Serve as primary contact for external auditors during quarterly reviews and the annual audit. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with FP&A, Legal, Tax, and Investor Relations to provide accounting guidance and ensure consistent financial reporting. Process Improvement:
Identify and implement enhancements to the financial reporting process; leverage tools like Workiva or similar platforms. YOU BRING TO PELOTON 5+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, external audit, and/or accounting at a public company. Active CPA license required. Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and SOX compliance. Experience with Workiva, NetSuite/ERPs, and automation tools is a plus. Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Passion for developing and sharing knowledge about critical reporting areas to the business. Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex concepts for non-technical audiences. High discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information. The base salary range reflects the range for Peloton’s New York City headquarters. Actual base salary depends on factors including experience and location.
