Oregon Health & Science University is seeking a

Property Specialist Senior

to furnish customers with essential goods and services vital for their job functions, supporting the mission of OHSU in healing, teaching, and discovery. The Senior Property Specialist leads a designated logistics operation and ensures the timely completion of daily tasks. Responsibilities

Assist with restocking and maintaining point-of-use and scrub dispensing machines; support daily operations for inpatient and outpatient areas; apply best inventory practices to ensure consistent supply availability. Provide Customer Service: identify and resolve customer issues, escalate as needed, and keep up-to-date on customer aliases and department locations; answer and triage customer calls. Inventory Control/Purchasing/Quality Checks: monitor, count, and report restocking and delivery activities; evaluate quantities to meet customer needs; conduct random quality checks on supplies including receiving, data entry, picking, restocking, delivery, and utilization; may handle billing to units for supplies used. Transports: operate employer-owned vehicles, deliver supplies, maintain and refuel vehicles, maintain driver logs, and complete inspection reports; maintain vehicle equipment (e.g., tire chains, jacks); perform emergency roadside service when needed. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications

Experience performing stores and inventory work; and Training or experience with inventory control systems and transportation/shipping methods; Current driver’s license and driving record meeting OHSU requirements; Knowledge of spoken and written English at the high school graduate level; Ability to comply with organizational guidelines and policies; Conflict resolution and time management skills; Effective communication skills (oral and written), working knowledge of computer operations (including email), adaptability to changes, and commitment to the task at hand; Experience or understanding of stock on hand, min/max counting, stock rotation, and expiration checks. Preferred Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED; Knowledge of hospital materials management distribution systems; Medical supply familiarity, knowledge of OHSU systems, and medical terminology; Understanding of inventory management concepts (min/max);

Experience using handheld counting devices, point-of-use systems, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Additional Details

Employee may be exposed to a healthcare setting with dirty linen and hazardous items (e.g., IV fluids). Appropriate safety precautions are taken. Work may occur in conditions with weather elements, variable noise levels, dust, vibrations, and wet or slippery areas.
