We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Accountant with strong experience in GAAP accounting, SAP, and advanced Excel skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in month-end close, financial reporting, and data analysis, and will be able to contribute immediately with minimal training.
This role is best suited for professionals from manufacturing or medical device industries, as the accounting processes differ significantly from banking or services environments.
Key Responsibilities
Perform and oversee month-end close activities Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports Conduct financial analysis and forecasting based on historical and current data Ensure compliance with GAAP standards Identify and investigate discrepancies in financial data Utilize SAP for journal entries, reporting, and data management Leverage advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, formulas) to analyze data and detect errors Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and decision-making
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Accounting) 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP principles Proficiency in SAP Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills Experience in manufacturing or medical device environments Ability to work independently and proactively identify issues
Preferred Skills
Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
