Overview
The Accounting Manager will oversee core accounting operations and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This role is ideal for a CPA with Big 4 (or large firm) experience who is looking to transition into industry and grow with a high-performing tech company. The Accounting Manager will manage daily accounting functions, drive process improvements, and support technical accounting and audit readiness. Responsibilities
Manage the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with US GAAP. Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and revenue recognition processes. Ensure compliance with ASC 606 (revenue recognition for SaaS) and other relevant standards. Partner with FP&A and business leaders to provide insights into operating results. Support year-end audit and tax filings; serve as key liaison with external auditors. Assist with technical accounting research, memos, and implementation of new accounting standards. Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and system enhancements. Mentor and develop junior accounting staff. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required. 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in public accounting (Big 4 strongly preferred). Experience in the technology or SaaS sector highly desirable. Strong technical accounting background (GAAP, ASC 606, consolidations). Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred). Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
