Position
Portfolio Manager, Advisory Solutions Fiduciary Trust International is hiring a Portfolio Manager to join our Lincoln, MA office as part of our Advisory Solutions Group (ASG). ASG provides investment advisory and management services to a limited group of ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and non-profits. Working in partnership with our clients, ASG serves as their outsourced family office, extension of an existing family office, or as an outsourced CIO. ASG provides access to investment strategies and techniques used by the largest and most sophisticated institutional investors. Many of our clients are themselves professional investors. We invite the most complex and challenging situations. The Portfolio Manager role presents a compelling growth opportunity for a motivated individual seeking significant responsibility in the client portfolio management process. The candidate will be a key member of the team that constructs, manages, and monitors complex client investment portfolios, incorporating clients’ unique needs with the firm’s views on the markets and investment opportunities. The Portfolio Manager will interface with clients and prospective clients on a regular basis and will become the primary point of contact for a select number of ASG clients.
Responsibilities
Investment Management – Ownership of all aspects of managing multi-asset class, multi-manager client portfolios, with a particular focus on asset allocation, portfolio construction and implementation, and ongoing management and monitoring
Develop and implement client specific investment strategies to align with client profiles and investment objectives. Document client specifications and guidelines appropriately within client IPS documents, reviewed annually and updated as needed in conjunction with client.
Ongoing monitoring of client portfolios and positioning to determine alignment with targets as well as any potential investment shifts based on changing client factors, market opportunities, and/or new manager opportunities.
Assess and analyze portfolio returns and risk to rebalance as needed on an after-tax basis. Utilize proprietary quantitative analysis tools and models to monitor risk and positioning.
Work in close collaboration with fellow Portfolio Managers, Investment Associates, investment research colleagues, performance reporting team, and other members of the firm.
Active participation in the ASG Investment Committee meetings and daily market research meetings. Share relevant client situations with peers to enhance solutions and outcomes.
Client Servicing – Manage and oversee a highly customized dedicated book of business.
Maintain high level of communication with clients beyond and in between quarterly meetings. Share market developments, new opportunities, articulate current economic and market views, outlook, portfolio positioning and construction.
Highly responsive to client inquiries, needs and requests. Complete special projects for clients with assistance from greater team.
Supervise preparation of quarterly client performance reports and supplementary materials as well as overall preparation for client meetings.
Lead the execution of client meetings. Provide clients with an understanding of the investment strategy and return attribution for their portfolios. Develop an understanding of client specific preferences related to reports and analyses.
Articulate the firm’s overall capabilities, philosophy, and approach, including asset allocation, alternative assets, and related manager selection processes.
Work with business development teams to cultivate new business for the firm. Foster client additions by providing added value and building strong relationships.
Qualifications and Skills
Ideal qualifications, skills and experience: Bachelor's degree Advanced degree and certifications preferred (i.e. CFA, CFP and/or MBA)
Series 7 license preferred but not required
10+ years’ portfolio management experience

Experience serving as a Portfolio Manager and Relationship Manager, working with a team to provide excellent service to clients including ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, foundations, and endowments
Deep knowledge of the investment industry along with ability to analyze, interpret and present statistics in written and oral presentations
Ability to understand and articulate more complex investment strategies and structure, including hedge funds, private equity and private real estate
Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail
Ability to represent the Company at professional and business functions
Willingness to travel to various client and business locations
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to assist in many areas of dynamic, growing business
