Overview
Our client, a Commodities Research firm, is looking for a Research Analyst to specialize in quantitative and qualitative research for precious metals (gold, mining, bar and coin dealers, jewelry, refiners etc.). Responsibilities: Conduct fundamental and quantitative research, including supply/demand, price drivers, and macroeconomic factors Develop financial models and forecasts, including valuation, cost analysis, and production trends Prepare research reports and investment recommendations for internal teams, clients, or portfolio managers Monitor global markets, policy, and industry developments to identify risks and opportunities affecting broader commodity investments Qualifications: 5-8+ years of total experience in research with a strong preference of a precious metals / commodities background Background in finance, economics, or related field with experience in equity research, commodities, or mining/energy sectors Strong analytical and modeling skills, including proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg, or similar financial data tools Knowledge of commodity markets and investment vehicles (ETFs, futures, equities, precious metals) Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills to translate technical research into clear investment insights Seniority level
