Position
A
Business Analyst
helps organizations solve complex business challenges by analyzing market trends, evaluating competitors, conducting financial analysis, and developing compelling presentations to support leadership decisions. They collaborate closely with Strategy Consultants and other stakeholders on strategic and corporate development initiatives. They structure problems, define required research and analysis, and synthesize results to generate insights. Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills are essential for success in this role. The successful candidate will support and manage activities primarily focused on internal initiatives that support Allspring’s growth and profitability, as well as projects to assess external corporate development opportunities. This role reports to the Head of Strategic Initiatives and is ideal for an early career professional to gain exposure to asset management, strategy and M&A, contributing to a high‑performing team in a dynamic company. This position is also well suited for individuals seeking career path opportunities into product, investments, and distribution roles within asset management. Location: Charlotte, NC
Responsibilities
Lead analytical support for the Strategic Initiatives team including conducting competitive research, sourcing data, developing insights from data analysis, and developing recommendations Develop internal models, tools and processes to improve Allspring’s analytical capabilities Prepare impactful presentations to engage senior leaders and communicate strategic and tactical recommendations Lead reporting and tracking of initiatives and facilitate communication to stakeholders Monitor industry news and trends and share relevant summaries with the team and stakeholders Leverage AI tools to identify ways to streamline work on behalf of the Strategic Initiatives team
Candidate
The successful candidate must be a collaborative team member capable of supporting projects with very high visibility and impact on the business. The role requires a high degree of analytic skill, problem solving abilities, and a true passion for delivering quality results. The candidate must have advanced skills related to modeling, competitive research, and preparing executive level presentations.
Required Qualifications
2-3 years of work experience ideally with an asset management or other financial services firm in an analyst, product management, consulting, or business analytics role Bachelor’s degree with an exceptional academic record Strong presentation skills Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats Strong research and analytical skills, with ability to synthesize and present data clearly Proficiency with Excel and ability to build and maintain production level models Experience leading cross-discipline projects with excellent work-planning skills
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity using AI productivity tools to streamline work (Copilot, Claude, etc.) Knowledge of the asset management industry
Compensation and Benefits
Base Pay Range: $100,000 - $125,000 Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the compensation package may include participation in incentive programs such as annual discretionary bonuses or other incentive plans.
