What You’ll Accomplish We have an opening for a Key Account Manager to join our sales team. This dynamic, highly visible role is responsible for building and executing a growth plan that executes the Company strategy within the Independent Channel. This role will have particular emphasis on expanding and establishing new business while strengthening relationships with strategic customers in the Greater Toronto Area & Western Canada. The Key Account Manager will report into the Country Manager and will be fully remote with frequent travel to accounts. Establish and maintain good business relationships with key accounts; be cognizant of their strategic direction, financial strength, challenges, and overall value as a business partner Develop and manage a business forecast aligned to goals, accounting for market dynamics such as new areas, new/lost accounts, inventory, and account expansion Analyze and understand drivers impacting the business and develop strategies that capitalize on them (POS, OTD, direct shipments, share development, category index, mix management, spending, returns/markdowns) Understand and utilize key measurements to manage business pace (Inventory Management and SKU productivity) Ensure execution of Canadian marketing strategy and supplement as needed with account-specific programming Create and implement new item launch plans Deliver thought leadership within the account to establish Wellness Pet as a category resource Develop strong working relationships with cross-functional teams including marketing, customer service, purchasing and operations Champion business needs for the accounts, collaborating with peers to manage and develop the indirect support team to meet objectives Demonstrate ownership, leadership, and accountability Communicate market, trade, and competitive information in a timely manner Own end-to-end execution of trade shows, including planning, logistics, vendor coordination, on-site presence, and post-event follow-up to maximize ROI and brand visibility Who We’re Looking For Team Wellie is a group focused on winning for the consumer and pets. Ideally, the candidate will live near a major metropolitan area in the Greater Toronto Area and have access to a major airport, traveling approximately 25% of their time. Bachelor’s Degree 3–5 years of demonstrated success and career progression in Sales, preferably within the Pet industry; experience in the sector is a strong asset Highly analytical with a proven ability to understand Key Performance Indicators Proficiency in Microsoft Office to manage client information, track activities, and produce reports Experience in Salesforce; CPG knowledge a plus Effective control of processes and projects; detail-oriented and organized Strong relationship management, including organizational analysis and negotiating skills A customer focus with high standards of integrity Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities Why Work for Wellness Pet We care about the wellbeing of our people, their families, and their pets.
