Commercial Market Sales Representative – Cambria
Location: Minneapolis, MN (remote-friendly, must reside in Minneapolis and be able to travel within the territory).
Job Description
Cambria is looking for a motivated, sales- and relationship-driven individual to grow our business within the architectural and design community. The candidate is responsible for developing, cultivating and growing sales of Cambria throughout the assigned territory, providing a superior level of service to prospects and customers, marketing the Cambria brand, and influencing specifications and ultimately purchases. Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strategically beneficial working relationships with residential and commercial architects and designers in the assigned territory. Proactively plan and schedule sales calls with partners that can influence specifications. Collaborate daily with Market Reps in this and other markets to steward and close active projects. Provide samples for specific projects and update identified product libraries with Cambria designs, marketing materials and contact information. Be actively involved in related industry associations (e.g., IIDA, AIA) for networking purposes. Meet with customers daily, including meals or events, sometimes outside normal business hours as needed. Sell Cambria by building and maintaining a continual organized and professional presence in the local market. Develop quarterly and annual territory sales plans in coordination with your District Manager (DM). Accurately collect and update customer information through Salesforce daily. Accurately collect and update commercial project information in the project tracker through the Commercial Nerve Center daily. Identify and participate in appropriate trade shows to increase brand recognition. Maintain and submit expense invoices for reimbursement daily. Sell Cambria by educating on and representing the brand and product. Present product knowledge materials to architects, designers and specifiers. Educate on product attributes and differentiators; explain value, quality and brand history. Understand all sales and marketing programs and materials to present them to customers. Proactively be an expert on industry standards and regulatory codes (including LEED and Green issues). Maintain high-level business, financial and industry expertise to advise partners effectively. Conduct quality AIA and IDCEC continuing education seminars. Provide samples for commercial projects and update product libraries accordingly. Use Cambria’s social media channels to promote the brand and product. Qualifications & Skills
Experience in the architectural and design industry is a plus; B2B sales experience is required. Strong business knowledge and financial acumen. Proven customer-focused mindset with professional demeanor. Ability to build strong professional relationships and a proven track record in sales. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Superior organizational and follow-up skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently; entrepreneurial mindset. Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and fiscal responsibility. Must be able to work from home as needed. Minimum Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of B2B sales experience, preferably in architectural and design fields Systems: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace; Concur and Salesforce preferred Travel & Physical Requirements
Travel: 90% local travel to customers; remaining 10% to trade shows, associations and training trips within Minnesota Work hours: Ability to work extended hours, evenings, weekends Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to deliver samples and trade show materials Compensation & Benefits
Cambria’s starting salary range for this position is $85,000–$114,000. Salary is determined by role, level, and location, and individual pay reflects location, experience and education/training. A branded company vehicle is provided based on fleet availability, or temporary mileage reimbursement will be offered until a vehicle becomes available.
